# §1104.1. Purpose of this part.


This part provides an update to the DoD interim implementation of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance in [2 CFR part 200](/cfr/2/part200.md). It supersedes the initial interim implementation of that guidance that DoD adopted in [2 CFR part 1103](/cfr/2/part1103.md) on December 19, 2014.
