# §208.4. Who may file a petition, request, or resolution.


An investigation under this subpart may be commenced on the basis of a petition properly filed by an interested party described in [§ 208.2(i)](/cfr/19/208.2.md?p=i) of this part which is representative of a United States long-haul trucking services industry; at the request of the President or the Trade Representative; or upon the resolution of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives or the Committee on Finance of the Senate.
