# §182.71. Applicability.


This subpart contains the general origin verification and determination provisions applicable to goods claiming preferential tariff treatment under [§ 182.11(b)](/cfr/19/182.11.md?p=b) or [§ 182.32](/cfr/19/182.32.md). Additional verification procedures apply to automotive goods and are set forth in [subpart I](/cfr/19/subpartI.md) of this part. For textile and apparel goods, CBP may choose to conduct a verification pursuant to the verification means and procedures contained in this subpart or may alternatively choose to conduct a verification pursuant to a site visit as described in [§ 182.83](/cfr/19/182.83.md) of this part.
