# §145.75. Liability for civil penalties.

- (a)
  - (1) Violation of [§ 145.74(g)](/cfr/19/145.74.md?p=g) after December 31, 2020, will result in USPS being liable for penalties in accordance with the provisions of [19 U.S.C. 1436(e)(1)](/usc/19/1436.md?p=e-1).
  - (2) The amount of the penalty will be $5,000 per violation.
- (b) The penalty will be reduced or dismissed based on the factors specified in [19 U.S.C. 1436(e)(2)](/usc/19/1436.md?p=e-2).
