# §142.0. Scope.


This part sets forth requirements and procedures relating to (a) the entry of merchandise, as authorized by [section 484](/cfr/19/484.md), Tariff Act of 1930, as amended ([19 U.S.C. 1484](/usc/19/1484.md)), and (b) special permits for immediate delivery of merchandise, as authorized by [section 448(b)](/cfr/19/448.md?p=b), Tariff Act of 1930, as amended ([19 U.S.C. 1448(b)](/usc/19/1448.md?p=b)).
