# §128.25. Formal entry procedures.


Formal entry, as provided for under [19 U.S.C. 1484](/usc/19/1484.md) in parts [141](/cfr/19/part141.md), [142](/cfr/19/part142.md), and 143 (except for [subpart C](/cfr/19/subpartC.md)), of this chapter, is required for all shipments exceeding the monetary limitation for informal entry (see [§ 128.24](/cfr/19/128.24.md)) and any shipment for which the informal entry procedures may not be used (see [§ 128.24](/cfr/19/128.24.md)).
