# §342.0. Applicability.

- (a) Except as provided in [paragraph (b)](#b) of this section, rate changes by oil pipelines shall be governed by this part.
- (b) **Exception for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.** This part shall not apply to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline authorized by the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Authorization Act ([43 U.S.C. 1651](/usc/43/1651.md), et seq.) or to any pipeline delivering oil directly or indirectly to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.
