# §284.2. Refunds and interest.

- (a) **Refunds.** Any rate or charge collected for any sale, transportation, or assignment conducted pursuant to this part which exceeds the rates or charges authorized by this part shall be refunded.
- (b) **Interest.** All refunds made pursuant to this section must include interest at an amount determined in accordance with [§ 154.501(d)](/cfr/18/154.501.md?p=d) of this chapter.
