# §284.121. Applicability.


This subpart implements [section 311(a)(2)](/cfr/18/311.md?p=a-2) of the NGPA and applies to the transportation of natural gas by any intrastate pipeline on behalf of:

- (a) Any interstate pipeline, or
- (b) **Any local distribution company served by any interstate pipeline.**
