# §1222.2. Requirements for bedside sleepers.

- (a) Except as provided in [paragraph (b)](#b) of this section, each bedside sleeper shall comply with all applicable provisions of ASTM F2906-23, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Bedside Sleepers, approved on January 1, 2023. The Director of the Federal Register approves this incorporation by reference in accordance with 5 U.S.C. [552(a)](/usc/5/552.md?p=a) and [1](/usc/5/1.md) CFR [part 51](/cfr/16/part51.md). This material is available for inspection at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). - (b) Each bedside sleeper shall comply with the ASTM F2906-23 standard except in sections [2.1](/cfr/16/2.1.md), [5.1](/cfr/16/5.1.md), [5.6](/cfr/16/5.6.md), [7.1](/cfr/16/7.1.md), and [8.1](/cfr/16/8.1.md) of ASTM F2906-23, replace both “F2194 Consumer Safety Specification for Bassinets and Cradles” and “Consumer Specification F2194,” with “[16 CFR part 1218](/cfr/16/part1218.md) Safety Standard for Bassinets and Cradles.”
