# §1.92. Scope.


The rules in this subpart apply to and govern proceedings for the assessment of civil penalties for the violation of [section 332](/cfr/16/332.md) of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, [42 U.S.C. 6302](/usc/42/6302.md), and the Commission's Rules on Labeling and Advertising of Consumer Appliances, [16 CFR part 305](/cfr/16/part305.md), promulgated under sections [324](/cfr/16/324.md) and [326](/cfr/16/326.md) of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, 42 U.S.C. [6294](/usc/42/6294.md) and [6296](/usc/42/6296.md).
