# §970.507. Safety at sea.


Before issuing or transferring an exploration license, the Administrator must find that the exploration proposed in the application will not pose an inordinate threat to the safety of life and property at sea. This finding will be based on the requirements reflected in §§ [970.205](/cfr/15/970.205.md) and [970.801](/cfr/15/970.801.md).
