# §47.1. Applicability.


This part prescribes the requirements for registering aircraft under [49 U.S.C. 44101-44104](/usc/49/44101-44104.md). [Subpart B](/cfr/14/subpartB.md) applies to each applicant for, and holder of, a Certificate of Aircraft Registration. [Subpart C](/cfr/14/subpartC.md) applies to each applicant for, and holder of, a Dealer's Aircraft Registration Certificate. This part applies to the issuance by the FAA of such certificates, whether by mail, electronic, or other means.
