# §414.15. Application concurrent with vehicle operator license application.

- (a) An applicant for a vehicle operator license may also identify one or more sections of its application for which it seeks to obtain a safety element approval concurrently with a license. An applicant applying for a safety element approval concurrently with a license must—
  - (1) Meet the applicable requirements of [part 450](/cfr/14/part450.md);
  - (2) Provide the information required in § [414.13(b)(3)](/cfr/14/414.13.md?p=b-3) and [(c)(2)](/cfr/14/414.13.md?p=c-2) and [(3)](/cfr/14/414.13.md?p=c-3); and
  - (3) Specify the sections of the license application that support the application for a safety element approval.
- (b) The scope of the safety element approval will be limited to what the application supports. The technical criteria for reviewing a safety element submitted as part of a vehicle operator license application are limited to the applicable requirements of [part 450](/cfr/14/part450.md).
