# §249.30. Applicability.


This subpart is applicable to all air carriers and foreign air carriers as defined in [49 U.S.C. 40102](/usc/49/40102.md), including, without limitation, direct carriers, air taxi operators registered under [part 298](/cfr/14/part298.md) of this chapter, indirect air carriers registered under [part 296](/cfr/14/part296.md) of this chapter, charter operators authorized under parts [372](/cfr/14/part372.md) and [380](/cfr/14/part380.md) of this chapter, and foreign air carriers holding permits to engage in indirect foreign air transportation issued under [49 U.S.C. 41302](/usc/49/41302.md).
