# §194.309. Applicability of flight instruction; simulated instrument flight.


The requirement to hold the appropriate category and class rating in [§ 91.109(c)(1)(i)](/cfr/14/91.109.md?p=c-1-i) of this chapter is not applicable to operations conducted to meet alternate aeronautical experience requirements set forth in §§ [194.225](/cfr/14/194.225.md), [194.227](/cfr/14/194.227.md), and [194.229](/cfr/14/194.229.md).
