# §1261.102. Maximum amount.


From October 1, 1982, to October 30, 1988, the maximum amount that may be paid under the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees' Claim Act of 1964, as amended ([31 U.S.C. 3721](/usc/31/3721.md)) is $25,000, and on or after October 31, 1988, the maximum amount is $40,000 (Pub. L. 100-565, 102 Stat. 2833, October 31, 1988).
