# §1212.702. The Inspector General.


The Inspector General is responsible for:

- (a) Making final Agency determinations on appeals related to records originating with the Office of the Inspector General ([§ 1212.400](/cfr/14/1212.400.md)), and
- (b) Authorizing an extension for making a final determination on an appeal related to records originating with the Office of the Inspector General ([§ 1212.400(e)](/cfr/14/1212.400.md?p=e)).
