# §1206.802. General Counsel.


The General Counsel is responsible for the interpretation of [5 U.S.C. 552](/usc/5/552.md) and of this part, as well as providing legal guidance with regard to disclosure of Agency records. The General Counsel is also responsible for the handling of appeals and litigation in connection with a request for an Agency record under this part.
