# §28.23. Procedures for closing of some of a foreign bank's Federal branches and/or agencies.


In cases where [§ 28.22](/cfr/12/28.22.md) does not apply, and a foreign bank is closing one or more, but not all, of its Federal branches and/or agencies, it shall follow the procedures set forth in 12 U.S.C. [1831r-1(a)](/usc/12/1831r-1.md?p=a) and [(b)](/usc/12/1831r-1.md?p=b) (branch closings).
