# §268.408. Effect of filing a civil action.


Filing a civil action under §§ [268.406](/cfr/12/268.406.md) or [268.407](/cfr/12/268.407.md) shall terminate Commission processing of the appeal. If private suit is filed subsequent to the filing of an appeal, the parties are requested to notify the Commission in writing.
