# §263.451. Definitions.


As used in this subpart:

- (a) Formal investigative proceeding means an investigation conducted pursuant to an order of investigation as provided in [§ 263.452(a)](/cfr/12/263.452.md?p=a).
- (b) Designated representative means the person or persons empowered by the Board or by the General Counsel or his or her designees in accordance with [12 CFR 265.6](/cfr/12/265.6.md) to conduct a formal investigative proceeding.
