# §243.13. Additional covered companies.


An additional covered company is any bank holding company or any foreign bank or company that is a bank holding company or is treated as a bank holding company under section 8(a) of the International Banking Act of 1978 ([12 U.S.C. 3106(a)](/usc/12/3106.md?p=a)) that is:

- (a) Identified as a category II banking organization pursuant to [§ 252.5](/cfr/12/252.5.md) of this title;
- (b) Identified as a category III banking organization pursuant to [§ 252.5](/cfr/12/252.5.md) of this title; or
- (c) **Made subject to this part by order of the Board.**
