# §217.306. Building Block Approach (BBA) capital conservation buffer transition.

- (a) Notwithstanding any provision of this part and subject to [paragraph (b)](#b) of this section, an insurance bank holding company, or insurance savings and loan holding company, that, on January 1, 2023, was not subject to this part is not subject to any restrictions on distributions or discretionary bonus payments under §§ [217.11](/cfr/12/217.11.md) and [217.604](/cfr/12/217.604.md).
- (b) **This section ceases to be effective after March 31, 2026.**
