# §1282.31. General.

- (a) This subpart sets forth the Enterprise duty to serve three underserved markets as required by [section 1335](/cfr/12/1335.md) of the Safety and Soundness Act ([12 U.S.C. 4565](/usc/12/4565.md)). This subpart also establishes standards and procedures for annually evaluating and rating Enterprise compliance with the duty to serve underserved markets.
- (b) Nothing in this subpart permits or requires an Enterprise to engage in any activity that would otherwise be inconsistent with its Charter Act or the Safety and Soundness Act.
