# §1209.81. Applicability.

- (a) **Applicability to penalties under 12 U.S.C. 4636.** The inflation adjustments set out in [§ 1209.80](/cfr/12/1209.80.md) for [12 U.S.C. 4636](/usc/12/4636.md) shall apply to civil money penalties assessed in accordance with the provisions of the Safety and Soundness Act, [12 U.S.C. 4636](/usc/12/4636.md), and subparts [B](/cfr/12/subpartB.md) and [C](/cfr/12/subpartC.md) of this part, for violations occurring on or after January 15, 2025.
- (b) **Applicability to penalties under 12 U.S.C. 4585.** The inflation adjustments set out in [§ 1209.80](/cfr/12/1209.80.md) for [12 U.S.C. 4585](/usc/12/4585.md) shall apply to civil money penalties assessed under the provisions of the Safety and Soundness Act, [12 U.S.C. 4585](/usc/12/4585.md) and [subpart C](/cfr/12/subpartC.md) of this part. The inflation adjusted maximum civil money penalty amounts shall apply to violations occurring on or after the effective date of this section.
