# §109.11. When is a “non-authorization notice” (disclaimer) required?


Whenever any person makes an independent expenditure for the purpose of financing communications expressly advocating the election or defeat of a clearly identified candidate, such person shall comply with the requirements of [11 CFR 110.11](/cfr/11/110.11.md).
