# §76.117. Special nuclear material of low strategic significance—Category III.

- (a) The requirements for material control and accounting for special nuclear material of low strategic significance (Category III) are contained in §§ [74.11](/cfr/10/74.11.md), [74.13](/cfr/10/74.13.md), [74.15](/cfr/10/74.15.md), [74.17](/cfr/10/74.17.md), [74.19](/cfr/10/74.19.md), [74.33](/cfr/10/74.33.md), [74.81](/cfr/10/74.81.md), and [74.82](/cfr/10/74.82.md) of this chapter. However, inventories of uranium outside of the enrichment processing equipment conducted at least every 370 days are deemed to satisfy the requirements of [§ 74.19(c)](/cfr/10/74.19.md?p=c).
- (b) The requirements for physical security for special nuclear material of low strategic significance (Category III) are contained in §§ [73.67](/cfr/10/73.67.md), [73.74](/cfr/10/73.74.md), and [73.1200](/cfr/10/73.1200.md) of this chapter.
- (c) The requirements for the protection of Safeguards Information pertaining to special nuclear material of low strategic significance—Category III are contained in §§ [73.21](/cfr/10/73.21.md) and [73.22](/cfr/10/73.22.md) of this chapter. Information designated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information must be protected in accordance with DOE requirements.
