# §609.1. Purpose and scope.

- (a) This part sets forth the policies and procedures that DOE uses for receiving, evaluating, and approving applications for loan guarantees to support Eligible Projects under Title XVII, including sections [1703](/cfr/10/1703.md) and [1706](/cfr/10/1706.md), of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
- (b) This part applies to all Applications, Conditional Commitments, and Loan Guarantee Agreements.
- (c) Section 600.22 of [title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations](/cfr/10.md) shall not apply to actions taken under this part.
