# §460.205. Equipment sizing.


Sizing of heating and cooling equipment installed by the manufacturer must be determined in accordance with ACCA Manual S (incorporated by reference; see [§ 460.3](/cfr/10/460.3.md)) based on building loads calculated in accordance with ACCA Manual J (incorporated by reference; see [§ 460.3](/cfr/10/460.3.md)). The equipment sizing criteria are adapted from section R403 of the 2021 IECC.
