# §429.51. Commercial pre-rinse spray valves.

- (a) **Sampling plan for selection of units for testing.**
  - (1) The requirements of [§ 429.11](/cfr/10/429.11.md) apply to commercial prerinse spray valves; and
  - (2) For each basic model of commercial prerinse spray valve, a sample of sufficient size must be randomly selected and tested to ensure that any represented value of flow rate must be greater than or equal to the higher of:
    - (i) **The mean of the sample, where—**
    - (ii) The upper 95-percent confidence limit (UCL) of the true mean divided by 1.10, where:
- (b) **Certification reports.**
  - (1) The requirements of [§ 429.12](/cfr/10/429.12.md) are applicable to commercial prerinse spray valves; and
  - (2) Pursuant to [§ 429.12(b)(13)](/cfr/10/429.12.md?p=b-13), a certification report must include the following public product-specific information: The flow rate, in gallons per minute (gpm), rounded to the nearest 0.01 gpm, and the corresponding spray force, in ounce-force (ozf), rounded to the nearest 0.1 ozf.
