# §40.33. Issuance of a license for a uranium enrichment facility.

- (a) The Commission will hold a hearing pursuant to [10 CFR part 2](/cfr/10/part2.md), subparts [A](/cfr/10/subpartA.md), [G](/cfr/10/subpartG.md), and I, on each application with regard to the licensing of the construction and operation of a uranium enrichment facility. The Commission will publish public notice of the hearing in the Federal Register at least 30 days before the hearing.
- (b) A license for a uranium enrichment facility may not be issued before the hearing is completed and a decision issued on the application.
