# §3.3. Reproduction and certification of copies of acts and documents.


The regulations for the public use of records in the National Archives ([36 CFR parts 1252-1258](/cfr/36/part1252-1258.md)) govern the furnishing of reproductions of acts and documents and certificates of authentication for them. [Section 1258.14](/cfr/1/1258.14.md) of those regulations provides for the advance payment of appropriate fees for reproduction services and for certifying reproductions.
